Egli è lmolese: gli fu perciò facile e farmi socio, e piegarmi poi anche a scrivere il compendio storico della Gttà d' Imola patria comune, perchè tenni che per la di lei antichità e le sue vicende potesse anch' essa fa: par te di quella Opera. Lo scrissi alla meglio che seppi nel metodo e nei confini angustissimi prescritti dal piano di essa, e lo dedicai a detta Città ed al suo Magistrato. Per; contenerlo però così mi fu forza di ridurre prima ampia materia ad un ristretto da cui poi estrassi il suddetto compendio.
