Publisher's Synopsis
It began in the east. From the darkest depths of the swamps of Beilmar the evil came, spreading like an infectious plague through the wastelands and gnarled forests. The ancient evil that had only been myth now sprang forth from its slumber, massing and flowing the way ants might swarm an intruder. Soon the horde of undead had set their sights on the south, crashing against the walls of Aeron like the waves on a rocky shore. Clinging to their old hatreds, the kingdoms of men are forced to face this new enemy alone, isolated from the other races they had warred with and driven from the lands. Now, dark shadows stretch across the heart of Beilmar as an ancient evil and its faithful cultists prepare for war against the humans of Aeron and their western kingdoms of Gilmourne.
