Publisher's Synopsis

MAIN CHARACTERS ... This plot takes place in Washington D.C.'s Logan Circle, Metro Police Department and the surrounding area Shaw District. Private Investigator, Rae Hines has made her home here after suffering the tragic deaths of both her parents and a horrific event where she has been lead to believe she ended the life of her beloved Commander Thomas Plume. Commander Plume was Rae Hine's leader in command of the Special Agent unit where they both served 20 years earlier. The plot shows how Rae is still plagued with insecurities and frailties which are brought full circle, forcing her to deal with the ghosts of her past. Rae, however, receives help through an odd but beneficial psychic connection with the murdered Detective Blaine Heyworth. The plots final twists and turns show the shadowy and underhanded meanderings of a few of the homicide departments top detectives. As Rae slips and slides her way through helping Thomas Plume solve Detective Heyworth's murder, they stumble onto a ghost of their own; the assassin. It is a rather emotional journey but very enlightening for them both as they find out they both have a secret they have hidden from each other for over 20 years.
