In this historic citizens' case to the US Supreme Court, legal points and precedents are clearly stated, aimed at protecting the public good, the sanctity of our elections and restoring our Democracy. Americans have a right to have their votes protected from foreign attack! That right was violated in the 2016 Election, and the Supreme Court has the authority, ability and duty to remedy this unconstitutional situation. A grassroots citizen group of 4 women of Cape Ann, MA leads www.ReVote2017.net -- the effort to petition the US Supreme Court to void the 2016 election and call for a new election. As patriotic Americans we're committed to safeguarding citizens' right to free and fair elections, uncorrupted by foreign powers or acts of treason. The unprecedented attacks on our Democracy by Russian Government operatives in our 2016 election violated our right to a free and fair election, ensured in the Guarantee Clause of the United States Constitution: Article IV, Section 4 states: "The United States shall guarantee to every state in this union a republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on application of the legislature, or of the executive (when the legislature cannot be convened) against domestic violence." Congress and the Executive Branch failed to safeguard our votes; thus only our legal system can remedy this injustice, and order protective strategies against future foreign or domestic corruptions to our electoral processes. Through our attorney, Mark Small, the ReVote2017 team petitioned the US Supreme Court -on June 7, 2017, this Citizens case was docketed: #16-1464. Revote2017 is separate and apart from an earlier, failed, effort to obtain a new election, so please do not to mistake this Revote2017 case with that prior effort! Some of the first core team persisted and new members joined to create this entirely new case on multiple constitutional grounds, representing 12 petitioners in 10 different states, including several swing states. These brave petitioners are a wide spectrum of people, with varied life experiences, concerns and political affiliations. The remedy we seek of the Justice System to restore confidence to all Citizens, is to: - Consider evidence as to how our Democracy was attacked by foreign powers (Russian operatives) in the 2016 Election, and the testimony of a diverse group of Petitioners for our legal Writ, including USA citizens from several "swing" states. - Declare the 2016 Election illegitimate, nullify its results, and overturn every decision and appointment that stemmed from its results. - Redress the injustice of an illegitimate 2016 Election by ordering a new Election as soon as possible, to provide a free and fair voting process for all Americans. - Order the US Government to implement security measures that keep pace with the technology of information warfare strategies, to thus protect our Voting Rights, Campaigns, and Election Systems.
