Publisher's Synopsis
The Fetzer Institute, a philanthropic foundation dedicated to helping build the spiritual foundation for a loving world, has launched a multi-year collaboration: "Our Shared Sacred Story." Over the course of five years, nine teams of scholars and spiritual leaders were tasked with faithfully retelling their tradition's story as an "invitation" to readers of all backgrounds to "taste" each tradition's experience of the Sacred and how it can foster shared flourishing. The volume includes an effort to present a "shared sacred story" that respects each religion's integrity and advocates for a new philosophy of science open to the Sacred.
This will be a significant, multi-religious endeavor to retell stories from nine traditions, fostering Sacred-based solidarity for the mutual flourishing of all people and the Earth.
