This catalogue documents and expands the exhibition Resist: be modern (again), curated by artists and researchers Alice Maude-Roxby and Stefanie Seibold, exploring the practices of women artists of the 1920s and 30s.The project looks back in particular at revolutionary art, design, performative and written practices via the lens of contemporary art, theory and design practitioners, highlighting the importance and influence of these long-lost early avant-garde practices into the present.
