This book contains a number of issues relevant to clinical practice, examined from both the legal and medical viewpoint, which arose from a conference held in Aberdeen. The issues of particular concern were discussed by an equal number of doctors and lawyers from both practising and academic backgrounds. These included advances in the control of human fertility, selective reduction of multiple pregnancy, gender selection, obstetric litigation and HIV infection, particularly in regard to pregnancy.;In the text each problem is discussed by both a medical and legal expert.
