IN accordance with the Deliverance Of the last General Assem bly, the Committee took the necessary steps to bring to a close their Operations under the scheme for the inspection Of religious instruction in schools. They were careful to avoid the incurring Of fresh liabilities; and they are glad to be in a position to report that, with the help of the payment due by the Society for Propagating Christian Knowledge, a grant Of �300 from the Baird Trustees, and other contributions, they have been able to discharge the debt Of about �1000 reported to last Assembly.
