Excerpt from Reports of Cases Argued and Adjudged in the Supreme Court of the United States, Vol. 9: January Term, 1850
IT is ordered, that the Reporter and' Clerk of this Court shall digest a plan for making up the records iii the courts below which are to be brought to this Court by writs of error or by appeal. That the same shall be submitted to the Chief Justice for his approval, and if approyed by him, that the Clerli be directed by the Chief Justice to have the same 'printed; copies of which the Clerk shall send to the Judges of the Cir cuit and District Courts of the United States, and to the Clerks of the same.
