The total amount appropriated to the support of public schools this year, exclusive of that raised for building and repairing pur poses, is against of last year, being a decrease of There is an increase of in the amount received from the two mill State tax; a decrease of' in township school tax; a decrease of in the amount of interest derived from the surplus revenue; and a decrease of in the amount of district and city tax voted to pay teachers' salaries, and fuel bills.
The amount appropriated to the purposes of building and repair ing school houses this year, is against used for these purposes last year, being a decrease of $47 47 7 48. The total amount set apart for all school purposes this year, is being a decrease of from the total amount of last year.
