Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Report of the Board of Education, 1909
The important inquiry connected with the eyesight of chil dren as provided in section 2251 of the general statutes was con ducted and concluded in 1908. The detailed results are so voluminous that they are not printed in this volume. There is practical unanimity of opinion that the Investigation calls atten tion to many defects of eyesight otherwise unobserved, that proper remedies are in many cases applied and that the act has produced valuable results.
The following is a summary of the returns of 1908 compared with the returns of 1905.
