Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Report of President Lyon G. Tyler to the Superintendent of Public Instruction: For the Year Ending June 30, 1911
These figures from the Registrars book prove that the large majority of the students are Virginia students and that the different parts of the State are well represented at William and Mary. Another thing shown by the registration book is that the attendance of the College comes chiefly from the country districts, while the Catalogue of the University shows that its students are largely from the cities, where are found the classes better capable of meeting higher expenses. It is interesting to notice that the number of Virginia students at the different institutions last session was as follows.
