Excerpt from Report of Pardons and Commutations: Recommended and Granted During 1879, 1880, 1881, and 1882, and the Reasons Therefor
Thomas patterson, Allegheny. Barratry, conspiracy, compounding crime. Sentenced September 13, 187 7, on first indictment to pay a fine of Six cents and undergo an imprisonment in the Allegheny county work house for a period of one year; on second' indictment, to pay a fine of six (cents and undergo an imprisonment in the Western Penitentiary for and during a period of three years. Sentence on third indictment suspended. Pardoned April 3, 1879.
