Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Report of British Departmental Committee on the Danger in the Use of Lead in the Painting of Buildings, 1916
To give adequate time for paint makers and others to arrange for supplies of nonpoisonous materials and also to facilitate the intro duction of modifications in painting methods, where special work necessitates such changes, the committee recommends that the restriction of the amount of lead in paints to not more than 5 per cent of soluble lead should not be enforced until three years after the publication of its report.
