Excerpt from Reminiscences and Biographical Notices of Eighteen Members of the Worcester Fire Society: Prepared by a Committee of the Society and Read at the Annual Meeting in January 1887
Dr. George Chandler of Worcester and Dr. John S. Butler of Hartford, both former members and the oldest on the rolls, were invited to be the guests of the Society on this occasion. Dr. Chandler was present, and an interesting letter was received from Dr. Butler, which is given in this pamphlet.
