In accordance with the spirit of Mr. Justice Story's advice, which we quoted at the commencement of our article, it may not be amiss for us to compare this aggregate number of volumes, which is given as the sum total of books in our pub lic libraries, with that of some other country, state, or city. We select the capital city of France.
