But for all that, God's word abundantly declares that there is a very close connection between business and religion. If there is one thing plainer than another in the Bible, it is that God makes a difference between honesty and dishonesty, and that He rewards men according to their deeds. Whatever may be the relative standing of men on earth, God tries them by their integrity, or want of integ rity; and blesses the one while He curses the other.
Here, then, is the ground on which I venture to have something to say to you. I have not to teach you how to make money, but how to serve God.
