Publisher's Synopsis
This report presents the results from the 10th in a series of annual surveys of qualified nurses. The survey was commissioned by the RCN and conducted between April and May 1995, covering nurses working in the NHS and other sectors. The report highlights nurses' rejection of local pay bargaining. It examines nurses' perceptions of growing job insecurity and deteriorating career prospects. These findings contrast with the apparent growth in demands on nurses to work additional hours, with increasing turnover and wastage.
