Publisher's Synopsis
In 1892, an unconventional pastor, John Rance Oney, travels to eastern Kentucky to become a pastor in a small town. Rance finds himself drawn to Margaret, who is married to the Breathitt County sheriff. He learns the painful events of a generational feud that made him an orphan and finds himself leading the remnant of the Red Strings. Many will blur the line between good and evil to avenge those they love. Everything changes when a grave bell rings in the cemetery.
