Publisher's Synopsis
John's intended purpose was to bring his readers to belief in who Jesus was. He selected statements, events and encounters from the life of Jesus that he witnessed and that impacted him profoundly. He firmly believed that by reading, this would also impact his readers in the same way. This book aids someone studying the gospel of John for its devotional content and those preparing a presentation. It does not deal with the contents systematically but lists them in the seven categories, each with seven sub-sections, from which John constructed the text. In this way it shows how in each step of the gospel story it challenges people to believe.
