A discussion of terminology for range and habitat plants would be incomplete without a clear definition of feed. Any edible material hav ing nutritive value can be classed as feed. Com mon examples are forage, mast, fruit, grain, grain products, oil seed products, and vitamin and mineral supplements. Feed and food can be used interchangeably.
