The contents are based on the experiences of Troy & Laura since they first got their goats in 2015. Starting with no experience but having done a lot of reading, they soon realized they had had not done enough reading and that experience is key! Relying on a variety of resources, they now are comfortable knowing they can handle what comes their way.
The book details what they learned the hard way about raising happy, healthy goats. It includes what they believe goats need for shelter, protection and food, as well as information about breeding and kidding.
Troy & Laura left Calgary for rural Alberta to escape the rat race. They moved to bare land and set up a small but thriving goat farm where they also raise chickens and rabbits.
