Myla is one of a set of triplets. Their father was a shifter, their mother human. Their mother's choice to remain human, instead of taking their father's bite, has left all three of them unable to shift. They have many Shifter attributes, just not the ability to transform into a wolf.
The Grand Pines Pack is trying to get rid of them. Nothing personal, they just don't like half-breeds. Myla and her siblings don't like bigots, so it works out fine.
When The Council edges them toward choosing The Neverton Pack as their future home, they all gladly accept. Myla's only objection is that The Neverton Pack has the one thing she's vowed to avoid... her mate.
