This atlas provides a complete record of all railways in existence in Great Britain and Ireland during the first two decades of the 20th century, together with all subsequent additions up to the mid-1980s. The author's hand-drawn maps include more than 7,500 stations, together with junctions, tunnels, sidings, engine sheds among other details and give the present-day status of each. There is a detailed gazetteer facing each of the more than 150 pages of maps.
