This book provides detailed and up-to-date information on imaging of the neonatal chest. It includes an update on clinical management. There is particular emphasis on the impact of recent therapeutic advances on imaging findings, examples being the use of artificial surfactant in the treatment of hyaline membrane disease and ECMO in meconium aspiration syndrome. Extensive consideration is given to both antenatal and postnatal imaging of congenital chest malformations, as well as to controversies regarding the postnatal management of asymptomatic infants with these anomalies. There are also dedicated chapters on upper airway problems, infection, chest wall abnormalities and congenital heart disease, with special emphasis on advances in interventional therapy.
