This volume is part of the IS3E ongoing research series that seeks to discuss the use of statistical science in economics and in the other functional areas of business administration by taking a cross-disciplinary quantitative and qualitative approach. By disseminating such timely original research findings, this volume contributes to an enlightened and robust discussion of theoretical and empirical issues. The research papers contained in this volume achieve this by addressing contemporary issues in three important areas: international financial economics, statistical science and economics, and applied economics and finance.
