The period covered by this volume witnessed the fruition of Jinnah's struggle as well as the initial and crucial phase of Pakistan's emergence as an independent nation. Part I contains 718 documents, which are supplemented by the 14 Appendices in Part II. These documents have not been published before and constitute a primary source of information on a number of important issues.
