Data analytics and data science tasks are becoming more and more a part of many jobs lately. It seems as though no profession is immune to the influence of big data. Learning to do these tasks requires a knowledge of a programming language, such as Python, and some basic data analytics skills. This material covers those basics in a way that is manageable for those new to the topic. The material is taken from the author's Microsoft Learning course, 55264A, which is used to prepare candidates for Microsoft's Python certification exam (98-381). This book can therefore be viewed as an introduction to that course and the corresponding exam.
