Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Purification of Drinking Water by the Use of Ozone
It has been claimed by Mr. Tindal that the purification of water by ozone is a natural process. Wherever water lies ex posed to the influence of the air and sunlight there is a purifying effect which he considers must, in part at least, be attributed to the agency of ozone. The idea of improving the quality of drinking water by this supposed constituent of the atmosphere is therefore not novel. The novelty of the Tindal process lies in the arrangement of artificial conditions whereby the beneficial effects ascribed to ozone may be produced in a thorough and reliable manner.
