Resolved, That the Rhode Island Historical Society regards this measure as favorable to the interests of our State and na tion, and hereby instructs its secretary to communicate a Copy of this resolution to the Senators and Representatives of this State in Congress, and request them to exert their in?uence in favor of the passage Of said joint resolution.
