The aggregate receipts of the canals from tolls, and all miscellaneous sources, for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1879, were being less than the preceding year by $6 The total expenses for ordinary repairs, super intendence and collection of tolls were or $12, more than the year previous. The surplus revenues were showing a decrease, as compared with the preceding year, of 39.
