Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Pros and Cons of Leasehold Enfranchisement
IN the following pages I have tried to indicate 'brie?y the general line and drift of the evidence given before the Town Holdings Committee with regard to Leasehold Enfrahchisement. It is hardly necessary for me to ob serve that, so far as the arguments used on either side are concerned, I can lay no claim to originality of any kind. So many books and pamphlets on this subject have already been published that it would now be extremely difficult to say anything about it which should be at once new and true. But as the facts and figures here, set forth are derived to a great extent from the recently pub lished Blue Book, I venture to hope that this pamphlet may be of some service to local politicians, candidates for urban constituencies, and other unfortunate people whose duty it may be to make themselves acquainted with the latest information on all the political questions of the day.
