We have a hearing today on proposed amendments to the Metric Conversion Act.
The United States remains the only major industrialized country which does not predominantly use metric as a standard measure ment system. While the rest of the world is using meters, grams, and degrees Celsius, the United States is solely using inches, pounds and degrees Fahrenheit.
