Publisher's Synopsis
The transformation process of recent decades and the democratization that has followed in its wake, has led to growing pains in many universities. The important questions of how the elite and the mass universities can work together and enrich each other have not yet been answered. In the midst of this process a number of new universities, which are also a product of this development, have experimented with radically new educational forms based on project work, researching teaching and other innovations that are not just pedagogical in nature, but proposals for reforms at the university as such. This book covers these new educational forms.
