The present Edition has undergone a careful revision, and Chas been augmented by thirty-one Supple mentary Exercises. Many desirable alterations have been introduced, especially in the substitution of classical for unclassical words, constructions, &c. Useful additions have also been made in the Intro duction (pp. Vn - xxu), and in the Appendix, especially in Table III.
