Publisher's Synopsis
In this volume, researchers who work with invertebrate YPPs present comprehensive reviews of both biochemical and molecular characteristics of these critical proteins across a wide range of taxa. Investigators of vitellogenesis in one group of organisms have much to learn from scientists working with animals from other orders and classes, but reviews of invertebrate YPPs outside of insects are rare or non-existent. It is hoped that this concentration of thorough reviews and syntheses with prove useful to invertebrate and vertebrate scientists alike and will promote synergistic interactions among those who may not be completely aware of advances and insights generated outside their traditional sphere.
