Another 'masonic year with its joys and sorrows, its victories and defeats has drawn to a close and we have again assembled in annual meeting to review our labors and to plan new and greater things for our beloved fraternity. The past twelve months have been prosperous ones and we have been particularly fortunate in that no great calamity has visited us. While our brethren of the extreme southern counties suffered from the action of the elements yet this misfortune only served to awaken that spirit of sympathy and good will which binds man to man. The ready assistance afforded at that time proves conclusively that we are one in the fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of man.
