The Indiana Academy of Science, a chartered scientific association, has embodied in its constitution a Preamble' provision that it will, upon the request of the Governor, or of the several departments of the State government, through the Governor, and through its council as an advisory body, assist in the direction and execution of any investigation within its province, without pecuniary gain to the Acad emy, provided only that the necessary expenses of such investigation are borne by the State; and.
