In this lecture I have nothing to do with Barma and Siam, except in as far as they border on, and have political relations with, Indo - China and in the case of Siam, inasmuch as a great part, or nearly the whole, of the present French indo-china was at one time under the rule of the Siamese, and has been annexed from time to time from that kingdom.
