Practical' plumbers' work contains, in a form convenient for everyday use, a comprehensive digest of information con tributed by experienced craftsmen, scattered over the columns of building world, one of the weekly journals it is my fortune to edit, and supplies concise information on the general principles and practice of the art. On which it treats.
In preparing for publication in book form the mass Of relevant matter contained in the Journal, much of it necessarily had to be rearranged and re-written. The bulk of the matter and illustrations contained in this book were contributed by my old time colleague at Regent Street Polytechnic, Mr. J. Wright Clarke, the authority on Practical Plumbers' Work, and the has kindly revised the whole of the proofs of this present manual.
