A discussion of the various conditions will be taken up in the order in which they are presented in Table I. It is difficult to draw an arbitrary line indicating where normal findings end and pathologic begin, but it is believed safe, when the blood is taken after a 14 - hour fast (in the morning before breakfast), to regard a urea nitrogen above 20 mg. And a sugar above per cent as quite definitely pathologic, etc.
