English summary: The Postilla contains sermons for the entire church year (with the exception of Good Friday), for the holy days in honor of the Apostles and on a selection of biblical texts. Part 2 of the edition covers the sermons from Palm Sunday to Pentecost. The commentaries and annotations substantiate passages from the Bible as well as quotations from the patristic, medieval and Reformation tradition. The critical apparatus provides information on changes or improvements and documents the various versions of the second edition of the Postilla. The volume also contains indexes of biblical passages and persons.
