The Northern Utilization Research and Development Division, Peoria, Ill., under the administration of the Agricultural Research Service of the Department of Agriculture, is one of the four large research laboratories established by the Department under the authority of the Agricultural Adjustment Act of 1938. At its inception this laboratory was called the Northern Regional Research Laboratory.
