This volume provides an overview of recent developments in political theory and its relationship to political science. Since the introduction of many new courses as part of the Bologna process, not only has the profile of political science as a discipline begun to change, but the relationship to its sub-disciplines has also started to change. Political theory and the history of ideas must reconsider their role and in some cases redefine it. The volume undertakes this in terms of content, discipline and concept and at the same time examines the connection between political theory, political philosophy and social theory.
