Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Points of View, Vol. 1 of 2
The extraordinary kindness with which these Essays have been received has made it necessary to prepare a new edition within the short space of a fortnight.
It is in these circumstances not possible to make any change beyond the correction of a few obvious errors: such corrections have been made.
I have been deeply moved by the kindness and sympathy which have marked every review to which my attention has been directed. All indeed have been so friendly that they afford little help in the direction of altering or modifying that which I have written.
