This pack is part of a series that offers ways for teachers to cultivate children's understanding of and interest in poetry. It has been specifically designed to meet the requirements of the curricula. The pack contains four lower Key Stage 2 pupil anthologies.;The series contains four poetry anthologies, two for ages five to seven and two for ages seven to nine. The anthologies provide a balance of traditional, classical and modern poems, a range of poetic styles, a selection of poems on familiar and fantasy themes, and poems from other cultures.;The teacher's notes provide background information on the poems and techniques for teaching poetry, speaking, listening and writing activities, and a photocopiable activity sheet for each poem.
