Poetry composed of magnificent words and erudite phrases can be impressive, even compelling, but unless these artifices contribute to the perception of a bonafide sentiment there is no place for them, and in his poetic words all of the unnecessary, pedantic and diffuse are struck from Van Heyden's literature.
