Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Poems
HE poems between these covers might not inaptly be termed a bouquet Of wild ?owers plucked by a young hand. Most of them have the colorings of nature, and breathe Of the woods and fields.
They were written by a young author, between seven teen and twenty years Of age, - some of them amid the duties Of school-life in the city, but many of them in vacation days, among the woods and hills near the Old Waverley Oaks in Waltham. Most Of the short poems have appeared in periodicals.
