The same year, 1808, saw other provision made for the train ing of teachers, however, thanks to the interest of Crown Prince Frederick in Nachtegall's work - an interest roused by his first unexpected visit to the private school of gymnastics in 1800 and interrupted only by his death, December 3, 1839. It was with his assistance that the yard in Aabenraa had been purchased in 1801, f and he attended the first four annual exhibitions there.
