This computer disk uses a systematic approach to guide clinical laboratory scientists, and clinical laboratory science and phlebotomy students through the procedures and techniques of phlebotomy. Contents include: an overview; anatomical considerations; equipment; procedures for venipuncture; common procedural errors; complications; an image index; and a final exam. The program employs video footage and three-dimensional animation sequences to demonstrate venipuncture simulations so that the user can experience clinical situations firsthand.
